- Experience with spatial data analysis (e.g. GIS)
- Programming skills (e.g. Python or R) or modelling skills
- Experience in interdisciplinary research
- Interest in quantitative methods and decision-support approaches
- Fluency in English
- Motivation for international and interdisciplinary research environment
- Willingness for extended research period (one year) at University of Melbourne
Tasks
- Explore biodiversity assessment in urban areas using conservation frameworks
- Analyze spatial patterns of urban green infrastructure and ecological traits
- Investigate urban green configurations' impact on climate and heat stress
- Compare design strategies for blue-green infrastructure
- Identify trade-offs and synergies between biodiversity and climate adaptation
- Contribute to multi-objective optimization approaches for urban land-use
- Develop ideas for analysis, publications, and integration in C4LaNd programme
- Collaborate with the University of Melbourne for a one-year research stay
- Participate in joint supervision framework for a cotutelle PhD degree
