Payment Operations Specialist(m/w/x)
Monitoring payment transactions and handling user payouts for a global marketplace. Marketplace or platform experience in financial operations required. Five weeks vacation, public transport ticket, and learning budget.
Requirements
- Marketplace or platform experience in financial operations, digital payments, or treasury
- Experience in online marketplace, SaaS platform, or multi-merchant e-commerce
- Direct experience with multi-party payment architectures
- Exceptional analytical skills for transaction failures or reconciliation gaps
- Detail orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to bridge technical payment logic with internal and external partners
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Additional languages welcome
- Presence in Berlin
- Valid work permit
Tasks
- Monitor payment transactions
- Handle user payouts
- Reconcile payment data
- Investigate discrepancies
- Support KYC and compliance processes
- Act as key contact for payment providers and internal stakeholders
- Manage daily transaction reconciliation
- Ensure internal records match PSP and banking data
- Oversee incoming and outgoing payment flows
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, and refunds
- Maintain user wallet balances
- Conduct final seller onboarding reviews
- Ensure account applications meet marketplace requirements
- Escalate cases requiring additional verification
- Manage payment disputes and chargebacks
- Coordinate investigations with internal teams and payment providers
- Support fraud prevention efforts
- Serve as operational point of contact for payment providers
- Coordinate issue resolution and operational requests
- Handle compliance-related inquiries
- Collaborate with Customer Support
- Investigate payment-related issues
- Assist with customer complaints
- Provide operational expertise
- Ensure accurate and timely resolution of complex payment cases
Work Experience

Education
- High school diploma
Languages
