Pathology Scientist(m/w/x)
Medical oversight for pathology and slide reading in early phase clinical trials. German board certification as Pathologist required. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for quality improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in Immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH), or quantitative image analysis using AI/ML
- German board certification as Pathologist
- Valid German medical license
- At least one year clinical or industry experience
- Proven expertise in immunohistochemistry
- Experience in interpretation and assessment of primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and molecular platforms
- Proficiency in providing pathology support to project teams and clinical trials
- Skilled in leading people
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Tasks
- Provide medical oversight for pathology and slide reading
- Support early phase clinical trials and assay development
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for quality improvement
- Contribute to R&D activities for new products and processes
- Serve as medical representative on project teams
- Address pathology-related queries and provide strategic insights
- Participate in Pharma client meetings for biomarker hypothesis testing
- Drive activities for publication and patent potential
- Coordinate and train contracted pathologists
- Contribute to internal pathology education programs
- Train and score slides for clinical trial patient samples
- Stay updated on pathology, oncology, and molecular biology literature
- Serve as Principal Investigator for European clinical trials
- Ensure medical accountability in global CDx development programs
- Provide medical oversight of laboratory processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
