- Analyze regulatory, industry, and customer SMS requirements
- Develop operational SMS components
- Ensure safety operations traceability and auditability
- Define operational scope for AV safety
- Conduct holistic risk assessments
- Identify operational safety gaps
- Derive corrective and preventive measures
- Track closure of safety measures
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on risk mitigation
- Represent Safety Ops to Release Management
- Define Safety Ops deliverables for milestones
- Identify operational safety risks affecting Go-to-Market
- Drive closure of Go-to-Market readiness gaps
- Integrate operational safety into release planning
- Document and challenge AV system limitations
- Translate technical limitations into operational restrictions
- Review and update work instructions and procedures
- Create and maintain operational safety documentation
- Align operational documentation with system capabilities
- Work with Training Team on safety driver content
- Ensure training reflects current procedures and limitations
