Requirements

  • •Good knowledge of telecom, networking, and optical industry standards
  • •Experience in automation tools such as NI TestStand and Python
  • •Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical, or Telecom Engineering
  • •Engineering background for telecommunication or comparable products
  • •Experience in telecom/datacom product design life cycles
  • •Fluent in English language skills both written and spoken
  • •German and Chinese language skills a plus
  • •Understanding of multi-culture and global business practices
  • •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • •Ability to read and understand hardware circuit schematics, CAD files, and IC data sheets
  • •Knowledge of FPGA, Microprocessors, optical components, and high-speed buses
  • •Experience with Optical test instruments
  • •Accomplished in VC++, C#, or C
  • •Knowledge of National Instruments software suite and SQL database
  • •Understanding of DFM, DFT, and manufacturing processes
  • •Experience in high volume manufacturing test design and structural testing

Education

Master's degree
OR
Vocational certification

Work Experience

Tasks

  • •Architect test concepts for WDM telecom devices
  • •Design and document test hardware and software
  • •Support existing manufacturing test solutions
  • •Develop complex algorithms for calibrating optical devices
  • •Define necessary test processes with R&D
  • •Develop test steps, drivers, and sequences for automation
  • •Ensure test solutions meet design specifications
  • •Transfer test solutions into manufacturing with contract manufacturers
  • •Support implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • •Drive continuous improvements for higher quality and lower test costs
