Network Security Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing and implementing network security solutions, including firewalls and IDS. 5+ years of network security engineering experience required. Hybrid working, with a focus on Cisco ASA and Palo Alto technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years network security engineering experience
- CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent certifications
- Extensive knowledge of network security protocols, encryption, authentication
- Expertise in firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto)
- Proficiency in IDS/IPS and SIEM solutions
- Experience with network monitoring and packet analysis
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead projects
- Commitment to staying current with security trends
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM)
- Experience in scripting/programming for security automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
Tasks
- Lead design, implementation, and management of network security solutions
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
- Analyse network traffic for suspicious activity
- Respond to security incidents effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security policies
- Stay updated with latest security trends and technologies
- Mentor junior security team members
- Participate in incident response activities
- Investigate, contain, and resolve security incidents
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Evaluate and select third-party security solutions and vendors
