Network Engineer Data Center - Cisco ACI and Cisco Network Infrastructure(m/w/x)

Operating and developing Cisco ACI data center and campus network infrastructure for global business transformation. 5+ years enterprise network/data center experience with solid Cisco ACI (APIC, fabric design, EPGs) knowledge required. Focus on complex, high-impact projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years professional experience in enterprise network/data center environment
  • Excellent knowledge of network topologies, routing, switching, VLAN, VXLAN, BGP
  • Solid practical experience with Cisco networks (campus, core, WLAN)
  • Solid knowledge of Cisco ACI (APIC, fabric design, tenants, VRFs, EPGs)
  • Experience with automation and templates (ACI policies, REST API, Ansible advantageous)
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
  • Project management experience (data center migrations, ACI implementations, network modernizations)
  • Strong analytical skills, structured, independent, responsible work style
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)

Tasks

  • Operate and develop Cisco LAN infrastructure for high availability (Campus & Core).
  • Operate and develop Cisco ACI data center network infrastructure.
  • Implement and develop network, segmentation, and security concepts according to corporate policies.
  • Ensure consistent interaction between campus network, data center, firewalls, and platforms.
  • Manage and technically coordinate external service providers (Cisco, data center).
  • Use, maintain, and develop monitoring and management systems.
  • Ensure documentation, versioning, and backup of network and ACI configurations.
  • Process incidents, changes, and service requests promptly (first- and second-level support).
  • Analyze and remediate complex faults (routing, switching, ACI policy model, end-to-end connectivity).
  • Document work results and use knowledge management platforms.
  • Contribute to standardization, automation, and optimization of network and data center operational processes.
