Requirements
- Master's degree in Navigation, Aerospace, Robotics, Geodesy, or related engineering disciplines
- Experience developing and deploying SLAM algorithms
- Experience processing LiDAR and camera data
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in C++, software development, and version control
- Experience in Matlab, Python, or comparable language
- Excellent communication and technical discussion skills in English
- Ability to work independently within development teams
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
- Hands-on experience with optical sensors (desirable)
- Background in inertial sensing, odometry, or sensor fusion (desirable)
- Experience with quality assurance and field applications (desirable)
- Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking software (desirable)
Tasks
- Design multi-modal SLAM algorithms using Lidar and camera sensors
- Integrate SLAM with precise GNSS and other sensors
- Improve positioning accuracy and reliability within an AINS
- Implement and verify real-time algorithms in C++
- Analyze and visualize data using Matlab or Python
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements
- Document problems and communicate project progress
- Support IP protection by documenting innovations and patent filings
