Requirements

  • Full-time student in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or comparable/equivalent field
  • First practical experience in metrology, measurement technology, or testing (plus)
  • Fluent German and English
  • Foundational knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with at least one major metrology tool (e.g., CMM, optical scanner)
  • Proficient in using CAD software
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (Python/MATLAB or JMP) (preferred)
  • Hands-on mentality for test planning and measuring campaigns
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&T environment
  • Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity

Tasks

  • Execute precision measurement protocols
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using CMMs
  • Develop and optimize CMM programs
  • Analyze measurement data
  • Compare results to engineering specifications
  • Assist in setup and calibration of metrology equipment
  • Perform measurement uncertainty analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test procedures
  • Document and present test results

  • Currently in higher education
