Requirements

  • Legally able to work in defined geography
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or equivalent (MD, MPharm, PhD preferred)
  • Fluent English and local language
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance standards
  • Proficiency in digital engagement tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms
  • Clean driving license
  • Experience as MSL in CNS space
  • Experience launching assets in rare diseases space as MSL
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with KOLs, investigators, and HCPs

Tasks

  • Act as the scientific face of the organization for a rare disease asset.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Identify unmet medical needs and treatment dissatisfaction.
  • Translate scientific and market insights into actionable messages.
  • Provide clinical support for named patient programs.
  • Assist in accelerating patient recruitment for clinical trials.
  • Support clinical protocol development.
  • Contribute to regulatory strategy development.
  • Support target product profile development.
  • Serve as the scientific representative throughout the brand lifecycle.
  • Build and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder map of scientific leaders.
  • Support KOLs in providing patient access through named patient programs.
  • Generate actionable insights from digital and in-person engagements.
  • Provide insights to HEOR teams on unmet needs and real-world evidence.
  • Stay informed on emerging treatments and competitor developments.
  • Establish credentials as a field expert.
  • Develop scientific presentations highlighting unmet needs.
  • Facilitate medical information enquiry responses.
  • Support internal training for sales and commercial teams.
  • Develop medical education materials in compliance with regulations.
  • Build relationships with patient organizations and advocacy groups.
  • Support disease awareness campaigns and early diagnosis initiatives.
  • Act as a key contact for Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR).
  • Provide scientific training and support to investigators and site staff.
  • Support patient recruitment accelerator programs.
  • Author publications, white papers, and training documents.
  • Agree on conference strategy and objectives with medical communications.
  • Share meeting outcomes and key learnings.
  • Organize urgent meetings when red flags emerge.
  • Contribute expert input to the Product Medical Affairs Team.
  • Participate in planning and executing scientific advisory boards.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial teams.
  • Act as a champion for compliant activities.
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting.
  • Adhere to EU, local, and international regulations for MSL activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant codes of conduct.
  • Document and report interactions and insights.
  • Contribute to data generation initiatives, including RWE projects.
  • Collaborate to identify evidence gaps and support publication development.
  • Provide scientific support for early access programs.
  • Engage with Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs) using digital tools.
  • Use CRM tools to track HCP engagement and measure impact.
  • Contribute to the development of scientific digital platforms and webinars.
  • Utilize AI for efficiency and accuracy.
