Requirements
- Master's studies in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related
- Solid background in electrochemistry and/or heterogeneous catalysis
- Basic knowledge of material characterization techniques (SEM, XRD, XPS, contact angle, porosimetry)
- Prior experience with electrode fabrication, MEA assembly, or fuel cell/electrolyzer testing
- Prior experience with Python, Origin, or similar data analysis tools
- Hands-on mindset and interest in experimental laboratory work
Tasks
- Fabricate electrodes and membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) using spray and slot-die coating
- Characterize physicochemical and electrochemical properties of catalyst layers and electrodes
- Operate zero-gap carbon capture electrolyzer cells under varying conditions
- Evaluate electrolyzer performance across different sizes (25, 300, 3000 cm²)
- Analyze, document, and present results in internal meetings and scientific contexts
