Requirements

  • •Background in structural mechanics or structural dynamics
  • •Basic knowledge of CAE tools and viewers for pre- and post-processing
  • •Basic knowledge of multibody codes or FE solvers
  • •Knowledge in Matlab applications
  • •English language skills
  • •Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity

Tasks

  • •Familiarize yourself with helicopter drive train systems and their dynamic characteristics
  • •Learn the capabilities and usage of multibody codes like MSC.ADAMS for helicopter drive train systems
  • •Review existing helicopter drive train models in MSC.ADAMS
  • •Model and implement the helicopter drive train system for a light twin helicopter in MSC.ADAMS
  • •Compare results of the mechanical model in MSC.ADAMS with reference results from an analytical model
  • •Simulate unsteady operating conditions and assess transient characteristics
  • •Optionally, co-simulate with engine control algorithms using Matlab
