Master Thesis - AI Agent for Test Management Based on Regulatory Frameworks and User Requirements - A Case Study on Battery Testing(m/w/x)
Designing and implementing an LLM-powered AI chat-bot for regulatory test management in battery testing. Solid programming skills and basic ML/AI knowledge with LLMs required. Up to 100% remote work, flexible hours, bridge days.
Requirements
- Solid programming skills (Python preferred, C++/Java a plus)
- Basic ML/AI knowledge, ideally with LLMs, IR, or recommender systems
- Basic understanding of software engineering concepts (APIs, data models, version control, testing) and cloud development (Azure preferred)
- Interest in or basic knowledge of battery systems and testing
- Analytical skills for translating requirements into formal constraints
- Independent work, complex problem structuring, scientific English documentation
- Interest in or basic knowledge of battery systems and testing
- German skill >B1

Tasks
- Conduct a literature and state-of-the-art review
- Analyze regulatory documents, standards, and user requirements
- Translate requirements into machine-readable rules and constraints
- Design the system architecture for an AI chat-bot
- Implement the AI agent with LLMs
- Integrate interfaces to various data sources
- Develop algorithms and workflows for test recommendation
- Develop algorithms and workflows for automatic scheduling
- Compare AI-based results with a conventional scheduler
- Define quantitative evaluation criteria including utilization and waiting time
- Conduct a battery testing case study
- Assess technical feasibility for desired purposes
- Document results scientifically
- Prepare the Master thesis
- Prepare an internal presentation
