Requirements

  • Strong academic background (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD) in game/auction theory, market/mechanism design, or industrial economics
  • Professional experience in applied game theory, mechanism design, auction and negotiation theory, or behavioural economics
  • Consulting toolkit including financial analysis and stakeholder management
  • Team management and coaching skills in urgent situations
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Professional experience in procurement (consulting or industry)
  • Strong understanding of industrial procurement operations
  • Native or business fluent German & English (C1)
  • Advantageous European languages (French or Spanish)
  • Open to working on client site (Germany, EU, international)
  • Willingness to work on-site at client's premises
  • Collaboration with client teams for project execution
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP & project management tools

Tasks

  • Manage multiple client projects, overseeing costs and results
  • Execute game-theoretical negotiation projects, including monopoly negotiations and competitive tendering
  • Conduct complex negotiations and create supporting documentation
  • Perform data analyses for negotiations
  • Derive negotiation strategies
  • Create visualizations for negotiations
  • Develop presentations for negotiations
  • Identify and achieve significant cost savings
  • Develop creative solutions to impact EBITDA, working capital, and operational KPIs
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication throughout projects
  • Lead on the latest scientific methods in negotiation
  • Promote game-theoretical understanding among clients
  • Support business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with Managing Directors on pitch documents
  • Contribute to thought leadership
