Requirements
- Currently enrolled student in Bachelor’s or Master’s program
- Onsite presence 100% at TEC site Mönchengladbach
- Solid academic understanding of materials science, metallurgy, thermodynamics, structural mechanics of aerospace-grade metals
- Eagerness to learn and proactive, data-driven approach
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
- Highly organized with ability to balance learning and project support
- University project, thesis, or internship in additive manufacturing analysis
- Basic exposure to CAD, AM build prep, simulation software
- Basic proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis (strong plus)
- Academic familiarity with or interest in aerospace/NASA standards, SPC, NDT
Tasks
- Support senior engineers in analyzing DoE data
- Understand impact of process parameters on material properties
- Investigate emerging AM technologies and materials
- Evaluate novel post-processing methods
- Participate in failure analysis using established frameworks
- Support daily operations of industrial AM systems
- Assist with machine setup and build execution
- Handle powder safely and perform post-processing
- Shadow engineering team in NASA and aerospace standards
- Translate standards into test plans and validation criteria
- Contribute to technical reports and specifications
- Gain exposure to SPC frameworks
- Work with design, materials science, and quality teams
- Develop cross-functional communication skills

- Currently in higher educationOR
