Requirements

  • •Advanced Technical Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • •At least 4 years of experience leading customers with mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives
  • •Experience leading customers with mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives
  • •Knowledge of major Cloud Provider infrastructure and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Cloud Foundry, Docker / Kubernetes
  • •Fluency in written and verbal English
  • •Ability and interest in travel to customers around the world
  • •Hands-on technical experience with mainframe and non-x86 legacy systems
  • •Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Containers, Microservices, and Serverless technology

Tasks

  • •Design and implement solutions for digital transformation
  • •Solve complex technical issues in mainframe environments
  • •Establish patterns and practices for modernization
  • •Lead technical discussions with customer teams
  • •Create proof of concept technology analyses
  • •Conduct presentations and training for customers and peers
  • •Align consulting partners with modernization methodologies
  • •Provide architectural guidance for successful customer engagements
  • •Compose and deliver technical content like blogs and whitepapers
  • •Migrate mainframe workloads using emulation and automated code conversion
  • •Modernize COBOL applications and port code across platforms
  • •Analyze test results and facilitate defect resolution
  • •Design distributed and cloud environments using OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • •Refactor complex business applications
  • •Extract business rules from COBOL/PL1
  • •Architect high availability and fault-tolerant systems
  • •Understand the software development lifecycle and DevOps toolchain
  • •Configure automation pipelines in tools like GitHub and Azure DevOps
  • •Implement agile practices like Test Automation and Continuous Integration
