Requirements
- Completed law studies (German Second State Exam, J.D., LL.B./LL.M. or equivalent qualification)
- 2-3 years professional experience, ideally corporate/M&A law, law firm or in-house
- Experience with cross-border M&A, financing or corporate transactions
- Experience leading or co-leading complex transactions
- Interest in broader legal/operational/strategic work-streams in start-up, generalist in-house role
- Strong contractual drafting and project management skills
- Excellent written/spoken English, solid German skills
- Self-motivation, detail-orientation, organization, comfort with responsibility
- Excitement for fluid, innovative, fast-paced, creative environment and company culture
- Advantageous: Experience in financial services or funds regulation
Tasks
- Draft commercial agreements (SaaS, vendor, NDAs, partnerships).
- Review and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Assist with general corporate matters.
- Assist with inter-company agreements.
- Conduct due diligence for market expansion.
- Identify legal risks in strategic partnerships.
- Summarize actionable findings for the team.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors.
- Manage external legal engagements efficiently.
- Manage external legal engagements on-budget.
- Implement internal policies.
- Maintain internal policies.
- Ensure policy alignment with AML, risk, and compliance.
- Develop legal playbooks.
- Develop legal templates.
- Develop scalable legal processes.
- Coordinate legal matters across entities.
- Coordinate regulatory matters across entities.
- Coordinate risk matters across entities.
