Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable qualification
- Experience as Lead Software Systems Engineer or similar
- Understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and security
- Knowledge of architectural patterns and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of telecommunications, WiFi, IoT, or avionics
- Understanding of standard networking protocols
- Understanding of data security and vulnerability mitigation
- Familiarity with RF engineering
- Experience with RBE tools like DOORS
- Experience with software validation and verification
- Awareness of compliance risks and integrity
Tasks
- Architect distributed aviation data communication systems
- Align systems with safety and security regulations
- Oversee integration of software and avionics components
- Ensure interoperability with ground support equipment
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Create detailed system documentation following established processes
- Validate system software against requirement documents
- Define uniform software solutions across multiple projects
- Manage software development with internal and external suppliers
- Utilize agile development methods for system integration
- Verify system software within dedicated test areas
- Perform root cause analysis for software service issues
- Define and review subcontracted system development tasks
- Collaborate transparently within a flexible project team
