Lead Flight Software(m/w/x)

Description

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of flight software while managing twenty engineers, balancing high-level architectural decisions with hands-on coding to ensure the spacecraft meets rigorous safety and certification standards.

Tasks

• •Deliver all flight software and simulation environments
• •Manage four engineering teams of twenty people
• •Drive architectural and system-level design decisions
• •Review critical designs and code personally
• •Coordinate with avionics, GNC, and systems teams
• •Identify and resolve systematic integration risks
• •Shape the verification and validation ecosystem
• •Manage SIL, HIL, and Monte Carlo campaigns
• •Align software plans with program milestones
• •Represent flight software in major program reviews
• •Lead certification discussions with NASA and stakeholders
• •Coach team leads and grow senior engineers
• •Establish engineering standards and ownership culture
• •Contribute directly to flight software code and tests
• •Implement efficient software development processes
• •Ensure software meets safety and reliability requirements
• •Evaluate and incorporate new spacecraft technologies
