Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • At least 10 years Embedded Software development experience
  • Deep knowledge of SFOC implementation in power tools
  • Proven experience leading teams on SFOC projects
  • Advanced proficiency in C/C++
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Jira APIs
  • Experience with errata sheets
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Object-oriented design principles application
  • Fostering innovation and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of motor control
  • Experience with Sensorless Field Oriented Control
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Supporting platforming initiatives
  • Delivery of secure, high-quality software

Tasks

  • Lead a team of 6 engineers in developing complex embedded software solutions
  • Focus on SFOC projects for motor controls in power tools
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer for Embedded Software and other software teams
  • Enhance platforming initiatives and drive innovation
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Estimate, monitor, and ensure timely delivery of software development tasks
  • Provide technical guidance to team members
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop complex systems
  • Evaluate and implement secure coding practices
  • Approve design reviews to ensure software quality
  • Develop and execute product and technology strategies
  • Promote advanced technologies and processes
  • Contribute to the company's mission and goals
  • Plan and allocate resources
  • Develop and mentor personnel
  • Proactively manage employee health and safety
