Laboratory Supervisor(m/w/x)
Leading a lab team at a manufacturer of connectivity solutions, executing and troubleshooting chemical bath analyses on automated production systems. Chemical engineering degree or CTA with several years of series production experience required; automated production systems experience a plus. Focus on modern chemical analysis methods and team development.
Requirements
- Degree in chemical engineering, chemical laboratory technician training, CTA, or comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in series production
- Experience on fully automated production systems ideally
- Strong technical understanding and analytical skills
- High personal responsibility and initiative
- Clear and structured communication of errors
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Confident use of MS Office, MES, and SAP
- Solid knowledge of UV‑Vis spectrophotometry and gravimetric analysis
- Experience with ICP analysis
Tasks
- Lead and train the laboratory team
- Instruct staff on equipment and hazardous substances
- Execute and document chemical bath analyses
- Troubleshoot bath chemistry using modern methods
- Calculate and implement required chemical additives
- Maintain bath parameters within specified limits
- Manage storage and documentation of chemicals
- Review operating instructions and safety data sheets
- Organize maintenance and calibration for equipment
- Perform gravimetric precious-metal analyses and balances
- Monitor cyanide strippers and dry tests
- Manage inventory and procure laboratory consumables
- Define minimum stock levels for chemicals
- Create risk assessments and laboratory documentation
- Develop and deliver internal training sessions
- Support continuous improvement processes
