Requirements

  • •Knowledge in optical communication systems technologies
  • •Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related area
  • •Good programming skills for laboratory automation
  • •Knowledge in optical transmission technologies and fiber effects
  • •Laboratory experience in optical system characterization
  • •Experience in coherent optical transmission and modulation, optical amplification and switching, or signal quality monitoring
  • •Good presentation and communication skills
  • •Innovative and highly motivated personality
  • •Fluent written and oral English skills; fluency in German is a plus
  • •Innovative, constructive, and application-oriented

Tasks

  • •Organize and maintain laboratory operations
  • •Set up experimental assemblies and conduct experiments on optical transmission systems

  • •Support national and international projects
