Developing novel AI models for robot perception and 6G system prototypes, including ROS2-based control and field trials. Experience with LLMs/VLA models, production deployment, and classical robotics grounding required. Free language courses in German and Mandarin.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, informatics, telecommunications, or related field
  • Experience with LLMs and Vision–Language–Action (VLA) models, including training, fine-tuning, and evaluation
  • Ability to deploy models in production with focus on latency, throughput, and cost optimization
  • Solid grounding in classical robotics, including kinematics, control, state estimation, motion planning
  • Background or interest in wireless communications, radar signal processing, or 3GPP standards
  • Strong coding skills in programming languages (Python, Java, C/C++, MATLAB, C#, bash, scripting)
  • In-depth experience managing and troubleshooting Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Servers
  • Solid understanding of Git, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows
  • Experience with management of local area networks (LAN), servers, and other IT infrastructure
  • Good understanding of AI, machine learning, and familiarity with related tools for training and inference
  • Business proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Upper-Intermediate level in German (B2 or above)

Tasks

  • Implement proofs of concept using 6G prototypes for demonstrations
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications in Python, C++, Matlab, and C#
  • Test and evaluate novel AI models for robot perception and decision-making
  • Implement ROS2-based robot control and perception functions
  • Develop use cases and conduct lab and field trials with partners
  • Manage and improve Windows and Linux IT systems for the 6G lab
  • Develop graphical user interfaces and imaging solutions for experiments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners from industry and academia
  • Support mechanical assembly and integration of robotic platforms
