L2 Network Engineer(m/w/x)
Maintenance and troubleshooting of ground segment network infrastructure for the Galileo satellite constellation. Mandatory CCNP certification or equivalent CCIE level expertise required. Flexible working hours, 30 days annual leave plus additional days off.
Requirements
- Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years L2 support experience
- Mandatory CCNP, CCIE or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, Multicast, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
- Experience with Cisco, Alcatel, HPE/Aruba, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS
- Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, SNMP, or SolarWinds
- Linux administration and scripting skills
- Knowledge of VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Desirable automation and network design experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- English at least at B2 level
Tasks
- Perform corrective, preventive, and adaptive maintenance
- Manage complex network infrastructures
- Act as escalation point for L1
- Collaborate with L3 to resolve issues
- Implement network improvements
- Diagnose and resolve network-related incidents
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and Firewalls
- Handle Routing and Switching tasks
- Coordinate with L3 for complex cases
- Execute maintenance procedures
- Ensure compliance with operational standards
- Monitor network performance
- Proactively identify potential network issues
- Support incident resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis
- Participate in major infrastructure upgrades
- Support network release activities
- Maintain and evolve troubleshooting platforms
- Update and evolve technical documentation
- Contribute to configuration management
- Support continuous service improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers
- Share technical best practices
