L2/L3 maintenance for AIV campaigns on complex Linux systems. Proven Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills required. Support for major European space missions.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in IT, Aerospace, or related technical discipline
  • Proven system administration experience in Linux environments
  • Strong system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with OPS system monitoring tools
  • Experience supporting production systems with high availability
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Practical experience in system integration activities
  • Ability to operate effectively during test campaigns
  • Fluent English, spoken and written
  • Fast learner, ability to work with little supervision
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Ability to prioritize parallel activities
  • Problem Solving aptitude
  • Work experience in Galileo Ground Segment
  • Linux certification (e.g., LPIC)
  • Network certification (e.g., CCNA/CCNP)
  • Spanish and/or German language skills
  • EU or Norway nationality
  • Security clearance (from BMWK)

Tasks

  • Provide L2/L3 maintenance support for AIV campaigns
  • Define, produce, and maintain test documentation
  • Support test campaign preparation, execution, and analysis
  • Assist with problem management and root cause analysis
  • Support system restoration and operational recovery
  • Handle vulnerability management and security incidents
  • Provide technical input for SACM activities
  • Maintain system configuration using provided tooling
  • Support L2/L3 maintenance handover milestone reviews
  • Support design and setup of maintenance environments
  • Support evolution of troubleshooting environments
  • Provide input to release strategy for Galileo GCS infrastructure
