Requirements

  • Hands-on Kubernetes production experience
  • Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience
  • Automation tooling experience (GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, or similar)
  • Solid networking fundamentals understanding (DNS, routing, load balancing, CNI basics)
  • Distributed systems production support experience
  • Structured, reliable, and calm under pressure
  • Operational teamwork skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • End-to-end issue ownership

Tasks

  • Operate a Kubernetes as a Service platform
  • Continuously improve the Kubernetes platform
  • Provision Kubernetes clusters using Gardener
  • Upgrade Kubernetes clusters using Gardener
  • Scale Kubernetes clusters using Gardener
  • Patch Kubernetes clusters using Gardener
  • Decommission Kubernetes clusters using Gardener
  • Automate platform workflows using GitOps
  • Ensure system reliability and performance
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Manage system capacity
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and networking
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes control plane issues
  • Collaborate with platform and application teams
  • Enable secure and automated delivery
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Participate in incident response
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
