Key Account Manager Space Portfolio(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred in Engineering, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Systems/Software, or Business/International Relations with strong technical knowledge
- MBA considered an advantage
- At least 10 years in Sales, Business Development, or Capture roles within defense and/or space sectors
- 5+ years engaging with institutional customers
- Experience in German market highly preferred
- Solid understanding of space and satellite infrastructure
- Understanding of payload, ground segment, satellite communications, secure communications, mission systems, and satellite observation technologies
- Familiarity with defense procurement processes
- Familiarity with tendering, capture strategies, contracting, and basic export control compliance
- Ability to translate customer requirements into tailored solution concepts
- Effective collaboration with internal engineering and product teams
- Strong skills in deal structuring
- Strong skills in pricing strategy
- Strong skills in risk and opportunity assessment
- Strong skills in forecasting and managing sales pipeline
Tasks
- Drive Thales Alenia Space’s growth in Germany
- Lead sales, marketing, and business development efforts
- Focus on national space and defense sectors
- Build strong customer relationships
- Identify national priorities and programs
- Develop capture plans and industrial partnerships
- Define and implement go-to-market strategy
- Target defense space, satcom, ISR, ground segment, security, and institutional sectors
- Develop a qualified sales pipeline
- Conduct account planning
- Map stakeholders
- Track programs
- Manage bid shaping and capture activities
- Coordinate proposal and tender aspects
- Qualify partners
- Handle pricing and governance
- Conduct bid reviews
- Build and nurture local industrial partnerships
- Maintain strong internal alignment
- Represent Germany in portfolio and investment decisions
