Junior Electrical Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing fail-safe electrical circuits with safety logic controllers for direct air capture technology. SolidWorks Electrical and VDE/EN standards knowledge required. 30 days vacation, relocation support.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or comparable discipline
- Confident use of EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical
- Knowledge of VDE and EN standards (EN 60204, EN ISO 13849)
- Experience sizing protection components, VFDs, motor control
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and hands-on work
- Background in electrical design for industrial environments
- Knowledge of functional safety (IEC 61508 / SIL)
- Knowledge of machinery safety (ISO 13849)
- Basic familiarity with process control, SCADA, or industrial protocols
- Experience with high-voltage or medium-voltage systems
- Understanding of EMC-compliant cabinet design and earthing
Tasks
- Design and maintain electrical documentation using SolidWorks Electrical
- Ensure compliance with VDE, EN, and IEC standards
- Size cables and circuit protection components
- Design fail-safe electrical circuits with safety logic controllers
- Collaborate with process and automation teams for system commissioning
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems on-site
- Review and update test stand documentation and plant designs
- Create electrical schematics, I/O lists, and cable schedules
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing
- Identify and propose improvements for control cabinets
- Contribute to the electrical concept for next-generation plants
- Drive upgrades to existing test stands
- Serve as the go-to person for normative questions
