Requirements

  • Strong experience as IoT Architect, Platform Engineer, or Cloud/Device Ecosystem Architect
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure IoT Hub, IoT Edge, secure device connectivity, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with Azure Event Hub, Event Grid, or similar streaming technologies
  • Understanding of telemetry flows and time-series data storage
  • Knowledge of IoT connectivity protocols such as Bluetooth Mesh, LoRa, and MQTT
  • Experience with DevOps & Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Hands-on mindset paired with strategic thinking
  • Fluent English and solid German language skills

Tasks

  • Define and own the long-term architecture of Doka’s unified IoT Platform
  • Contribute to early implementation work as the IoT Platform team develops
  • Consolidate existing IoT products into shared services and reusable components
  • Design scalable event-driven ingestion and communication patterns
  • Shape device and machine lifecycle management processes
  • Establish guidelines for connecting sensors and industrial devices
  • Provide architectural leadership and mentoring across teams
