Requirements
- Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable field
- Very good to good academic achievements
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills

- Good knowledge of machine learning
- Good knowledge of neural networks
- Practical PyTorch experience in research
- Solid Python programming skills
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Experience with ROS / ROS 2
- Experience with robot simulations (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo)
- Fundamentals of robotics
- German or English proficiency level C1
Tasks
- Set up and commission collaborative robots
- Install and configure sensor systems
- Research current literature on learning-based methods
- Analyze robotic manipulation techniques
- Investigate data-driven deep learning approaches
- Control real robot systems for automotive use cases
- Collect demonstration data under industrial conditions
- Structure and evaluate collected data
- Assess model performance using evaluation criteria
- Document research findings
- Present results to the team
