  • Studies in physics, optics engineering, electrical engineering, control engineering, or comparable field
  • Laboratory experience with lasers/optics
  • First programming skills in Python or Matlab
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Very good language skills in English and German
  • Analytical and conceptual skills, structured and independent way of working

Tasks

  • Conduct time-resolved analysis of light-material interaction in transparent materials
  • Implement novel optical concepts for glass processing with lasers
  • Validate optical concepts and test newly developed optical systems
  • Develop and analyze new machining processes focusing on laser parameters
  • Independently process and evaluate machining processes
  • Collaborate with the advanced development team on material processing using USP lasers
