Requirements

  • Student in Computer Science or related field
  • Basic knowledge of modern C++
  • Experience building programs for multiple platforms
  • Experience with C++ build systems (plus)
  • Open Source software contributions (plus)
  • Aptitude for listening and voicing opinions
  • Passion for clean and modular design
  • Enabler mindset and pride in improvement

Tasks

  • Research industry standards for large C++ applications
  • Select and analyze major tools and trends
  • Evaluate tool strengths, weaknesses, and market strategies
  • Summarize findings in a formal decision document
  • Investigate functional and technical build system requirements
  • Analyze upcoming requirements for the Wasm platform
  • Manage software dependencies
  • Build a proof of concept build system port
  • Create working builds for Inspector neutral and NX/SE
  • Develop a working build for Inspector tests
  • Participate in Agile dailies, retrospectives, and refinements
  • Contribute to the modernization of long-standing software projects

  • Currently in higher education
