In this internship or master's thesis role, you will dive into cutting-edge research on 5G/6G connectivity for aerial vehicles. Your work will involve developing testbeds, conducting experiments, and analyzing data to enhance reliable communication solutions.

Requirements

  • Enrollment as a full-time student in communication technology, electrical engineering, computing, or similar
  • Good understanding of multi-path connectivity and related transport protocols
  • Good understanding of Linux OS, Linux kernel, bash scripting, and Python programming
  • Previous hands-on experience with MPTCP, MP-QUIC, or MP-DCCP
  • Fluency in English or German
  • Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity

Tasks

  • Investigate state-of-the-art protocols for reliable multipath connectivity
  • Develop a measurement testbed for multipath transport protocols on UAV flights
  • Set up multiple wireless networks for multipath connectivity experiments
  • Program scripts to automate measurement processes
  • Conduct in-laboratory and in-flight experiments
  • Analyze collected datasets for feasibility assessment
