Internship / MS thesis – Robotics Engineer(m/w/x)

Description

As an intern specializing in Vision-Language Models, you will dive into the world of robotics, analyze multi-modal datasets, and develop cutting-edge VLA systems to enhance robotic autonomy in heavy industry environments.

Requirements

• •Strong academic standing in a Master’s program in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
• •Strong hands-on experience with Python and PyTorch
• •Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive sub-projects from concept to execution
• •Deep interest in Vision-Language Models and their application in Robotics and Automation
• •Initial successful projects or coursework in GenAI, Robotics, or Computer Vision
• •Familiarity with GenAI engineering tools such as HuggingFace, Gemini, and Unsloth
• •Experience with prompt optimization techniques and model fine-tuning
• •Previous machine learning research experience, including publications or high-quality term papers
• •Planning to write Master’s Thesis in Robotics and Automation
• •Interest in a long-term journey leading to a Master’s Thesis

Tasks

• •Analyze and preprocess large-scale, multi-modal datasets
• •Generate self-supervised datasets for VLA model training
• •Utilize GenAI tools to build and refine models
• •Apply prompt optimization techniques to enhance model reasoning
• •Execute training runs and monitor model performance
• •Evaluate results using new industrial data
• •Assist in optimizing model deployment for real-time performance
