Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • At least 3 years relevant job experience, ideally in international fundraising in science/research
  • Fluent English command
  • Proven success in fundraising
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional team experience
  • Intercultural competence and experience
  • Valid German work permit for non-EU/EEA citizens

Tasks

  • Lead 3-year fundraising campaign for GYA’s Annual General Meeting and International Conference
  • Manage partner and sponsor relationships proactively
  • Explore relevant international foundations and funding opportunities
  • Collaborate with GYA’s Fundraising Committee and project officer
  • Develop and maintain GYA’s general partner network
  • Liaise with former and future meeting sponsors
  • Network at relevant events to expand partnerships
  • Participate in leadership meetings to shape organization’s fundraising profile
  • Identify and develop tangible outputs from annual events for future fundraising
  • Write grants for science policy and capacity building initiatives
