Requirements

  • Enrolled full-time Master student in space, aerospace, mechanical, automation, physics, mathematics, software engineering or related fields
  • Background in orbital mechanics, satellite systems, and/or mission analysis
  • Experience in programming (Python) and mission analysis tools (STK, Orekit, GMAT)
  • Strong communicative skills and positive attitude towards teamwork
  • Fluent German
  • Interest in Space Situational Awareness topics and space
  • Knowledge in optics, image processing, and control technology (advantageous)
  • Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to integrity

Tasks

  • Design satellite missions for SSA and Space Intelligence
  • Analyze satellite platforms, sub-systems, and payloads
  • Simulate, analyze, and optimize mission scenarios
  • Assess mission performance
  • Develop and enhance software tools for SSA simulation and analysis
  • Support ongoing projects in space safety and security

Education

  • Currently in higher education
