Intern: Software Engineering for Multi-View 3D Reconstruction(m/w/x)
Developing dense multi-view 3D reconstruction pipelines, generating 3D ground truth from posed images for industrial robotics. Strong C++/Python proficiency and 3D computer vision concepts experience (SfM, MVS) required. Work on AI-driven industrial robotics perception systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s student in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python
- Experience with 3D computer vision concepts (SfM, MVS, or photogrammetry)
- Familiarity with point cloud processing, 3D geometry, and linear algebra
- Experience with 3D vision libraries and tools (COLMAP, Open3D, PCL, or similar)
- Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems in benchmarking, data evaluation, and perception algorithms
Tasks
- Develop and implement a dense multi-view reconstruction pipeline.
- Generate accurate 3D ground truth from posed images.
- Support single-shot reconstruction algorithms.
- Apply Deep learning based SfM techniques.
- Create a robust benchmark for point-cloud models.
- Analyze reconstruction quality.
- Integrate and calibrate 3D sensors for data collection.
- Ensure high fidelity and completeness.
- Collaborate with the perception team.
- Validate ground-truth pipelines.
- Support evaluation of advanced perception algorithms.
- Contribute to improving internal data tools.
- Establish reliable standards for point-cloud accuracy.
