Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's/Master's in EE, Optical Physics, or related
- Solid understanding of optical principles and technologies
- Knowledge in silicon photonics and photonic packaging is a plus
- Experience in programming (C, C++, Matlab, Labview, Phyton) is a plus
- Experience in optical design software (COMSOL, Lumerical, KLayout) is a plus
- Familiarity with optical characterization techniques and equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Tasks
- Collaborate with R&D team to explore innovative concepts
- Assess technical feasibility of new concepts
- Contribute to proof-of-concept demonstrations
- Provide insights and recommendations for future development
- Support R&D projects by developing optical models
- Simulate behavior of optical components and devices
- Design optical waveguide circuits
- Evaluate performance of optical waveguide circuits
- Assist in designing optical benches
- Set up optical benches for testing photonic integrated circuits
- Test fiber-to-chip interconnects for co-packaged optics
- Conduct experiments on optical waveguides
- Analyze performance of optical waveguides
- Identify areas for improvement in optical waveguides
