Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)(m/w/x)
Managing DoD Risk Management Framework activities and cyber operational readiness assessments at defense contractor. Active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance required. Flexible time off.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance
- Degree in IT, CS, or Engineering
- Experience managing DoD RMF systems
- Knowledge of NIST, eMASS, and ATO
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Active DoD 8140 IAT/IAM Level III certification
- Understanding of system security controls
- Five years monitoring NIST compliance
- Three years using eMASS
- Three years operating within RMF
- Experience in risk assessment and determination
- Effective communication with technical teams
- Experience supporting AFRICOM or Combatant Commands
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture
- Experience with Elastic, STIG, and ACAS
- Prior ISSO, ISSM, or Cyber GRC experience
Tasks
- Manage DoD Risk Management Framework activities
- Track and remediate organizational cybersecurity findings
- Support Assessment and Authorization activities
- Prepare for Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and inspections
- Maintain cybersecurity artifacts within eMASS
- Analyze system security and provide risk recommendations
- Develop System Security Plans and POA&Ms
- Maintain hardware, software, and network diagrams
- Manage Ports, Protocols, and Services documentation
- Create SOPs and compliance report artifacts
- Review network architecture for cybersecurity compliance
- Coordinate incident response with DCO teams
- Authorize hardware and software for enterprise use
- Interface with government stakeholders and engineers
