Information Security Intern(m/w/x)
NIDS deployment and monitoring in OT environments for plant and mechanical engineering clients. Knowledge of OT environments and NIDS/SIEM tools preferred. Direct exposure to OT and product security challenges.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Knowledge of OT environments and challenges
- Familiarity with Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) and/or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
- Basic understanding of incident response processes, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security monitoring practices
- Eagerness to absorb new knowledge and embrace fresh areas of responsibility
- Demonstrated diligence and commitment to quality work
- Proficient communication skills in English; proficiency in the local language is a bonus
- Strong personal drive and analytical capabilities
Tasks
- Assist in managing vulnerability report lifecycles
- Prioritize disclosures for timely remediation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks
- Support NIDS deployment and configuration in OT environments
- Monitor NIDS and analyze alerts for potential incidents
- Fine-tune signatures to reduce false positives
- Collaborate with Security Incident Managers to enhance detection rules
- Develop automation to streamline security operations
- Assist with incident response activities and documentation
- Conduct preliminary analysis of security events
- Contribute to incident reports and evidence collection
- Participate in post-incident reviews and develop response procedures
- Support the threat intelligence program and technical improvements
- Help create security awareness materials and reports
- Document key security findings and initiatives for stakeholders
