Information Security Analyst(m/w/x)
Monitoring security systems for threats, analyzing alerts, and investigating incidents; conducting vulnerability scans. 2+ years in cybersecurity or IT security experience required. Standard business hours, on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or related role
- CompTIA Security+ certification (Preferred)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification (Preferred)
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification (Preferred)
- Other relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA CySA+) (Preferred)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles (threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response)
- Familiarity with security tools (Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, CrowdStrike)
- Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Effective communication skills for documentation and collaboration
- Discretion in handling sensitive information
- Willingness to work outside standard hours
- Willingness for international travel as required
Tasks
- Monitor security systems for suspicious activity and threats
- Analyze security alerts and logs to prioritize risks
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Document incident details and support post-incident analysis and reporting
- Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits for compliance
- Evaluate configurations for security best practices
- Manage and maintain security tools
- Recommend improvements for security tool effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Prepare documentation and reports for audits
- Support security awareness training development and delivery
- Promote secure use of systems and applications
- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends
- Apply threat intelligence to enhance monitoring and response
- Collaborate with IT and network teams on security controls
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners for security tasks
