Head of Product Management Global Aftermarket(m/w/x)
Global product portfolio strategy for automotive aftermarket solutions, leading a global team of Product Line Managers. Several years of leadership in Automotive Aftermarket Product Management required. Direct reporting to Managing Director Aftermarket.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or comparable technical discipline
- Several years of leadership experience in Automotive Aftermarket Product Management
- Deep understanding of aftermarket product dynamics, customer behaviour, and commercial drivers
- Strong business acumen and portfolio profitability management knowledge
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Analytical, assertive, and results-driven personality
- Ability to prioritize and drive initiatives under pressure
- Effectiveness in matrix organizations and internal networking skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
Tasks
- Report directly to the Managing Director Aftermarket
- Define and execute the global product portfolio strategy
- Lead and mentor a global team of Product Line Managers
- Establish clear goals and KPIs for the organization
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle across all categories
- Manage range development and new applications
- Handle product deletions, supersessions, and cataloguing
- Drive revenue and margin targets for all product lines
- Build business cases for new market opportunities
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams
- Collaborate with sales to identify new revenue opportunities
- Evaluate global competitive positioning and portfolio gaps
- Direct pricing strategies with sales and pricing managers
- Partner with marketing on product positioning and messaging
- Provide technical training and sales enablement to country teams
- Develop product presentations and launch materials
