Requirements
- Completed technical/scientific studies, ideally doctorate in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar
- Several years' experience in process development/optimization, preferably high-tech/manufacturing
- Profound knowledge of laser technologies, coating processes, or microstructuring
- Confident handling of statistical methods and data-driven process analysis
- Leadership experience with team inspiration, development, and empowerment
- Several publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals
- Analytical strength, hands-on mentality, enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
- Team player, effective collaboration with stakeholders, talent for conveying complex topics clearly
Tasks
- Lead an interdisciplinary global team.
- Lead scientific development of manufacturing processes.
- Characterize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure process robustness, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Shape the company's technological future.
- Drive systematic development of key processes.
- Further develop gluing, welding, and hot staking processes.
- Further develop assembly and connection technologies.
- Establish and expand process development competencies.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Microstructuring team.
- Provide operational leadership to the Microstructuring team.
- Develop individual and technical skills within the team.
- Develop and establish a structured, scientific approach.
- Apply this approach to process analysis and development.
- Establish statistical methods to assess process robustness.
- Establish statistical methods to assess process capability.
- Apply DoE, SPC, and Regression Analysis.
- Apply DoE to identify critical process parameters.
- Evaluate critical process parameters (CPPs).
- Ensure deep understanding of CPP influence on performance.
- Promote collaboration with Development, Quality, and Production.
- Industrialize new processes and technologies.
- Build an expert network with R&D institutions.
- Develop and establish an innovation-driven, data-based culture.
- Create a work environment encouraging exceptional results.
