- Worked on activation, onboarding, or growth surfaces
- Exceptional Design Manager ready for Head-level role
- Existing right to work in Germany or other country
- English language proficiency
Tasks
- Set and maintain a high quality bar for design
- Develop review processes and critique rituals
- Evolve the design system and QA practices
- Lower the learning curve for new users while retaining power user features
- Influence product strategy and roadmap conversations
- Lead the expansion to a broader, less technical audience
- Build strong relationships with Product, Engineering, and leadership
- Lead a team of 14 designers, including 2 Design Leads
- Shape the team structure and career progression paths
- Create a culture of high standards and honest feedback
- Manage hiring and headcount planning for the design department
- Establish a continuous UX research practice
- Integrate customer insight, product data, and community feedback into product decisions
- Connect research to key decisions: activation, adoption, retention, and user onboarding
- Champion practical AI adoption in the design organization
- Stay current with AI tools and design patterns
- Model a thoughtful, adaptive, and enthusiastic working style
