Requirements
- Completed degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- At least 6 years of practical experience in general ledger accounting
- Experience in headquarters of an international group and/or listed parent company
- Good German language skills
- Good English language skills
- Sound knowledge of HGB accounting
- Solid understanding of IFRS
- Practical experience in preparing HGB individual financial statements
- Practical experience in preparing IFRS reporting packages
- Very good understanding of period closing processes
- Extensive experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA
- Knowledge of OneStream for reporting and consolidation is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills

Tasks
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency of financial statements and records
- Evaluate financial instruments using fair value and amortized cost methods
- Manage provisions and IFRS-16 leasing accounting
- Handle intercompany reconciliations
- Analyze and account for M&A contracts and related agreements
- Participate in corporate mergers and system migrations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and German subsidiaries
- Generate IFRS reporting packages for group consolidation
- Collaborate closely with the Group Accounting Team
- Conduct monthly financial close, including allocations, provisions, and account reconciliations
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts and financial positions
- Coordinate and support external audit processes
- Serve as the primary contact for auditors and internal stakeholders
- Act as an expert in SAP S/4HANA for general ledger
- Continuously improve and automate accounting processes
