Hardware Engineer (EMC, Design Verification)(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
- Hands-on experience with component, system, or software testing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in EMC testing, validation processes, and measurement technologies
- Experience with schematic/layout design tools, simulation environments, and standard Microsoft applications
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- High creativity and solid analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly and defend engineering decisions
- Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams
- Familiarity with Simulation Tools like HFSS
- Minimum 3 years professional experience in HW development and verification of analog/digital applications and standalone functional units
- Knowledge of automotive area requirements, especially for EMC
- Knowledge of commonly used interfaces in telematic systems (PCIe, UART, Ethernet, I2C, I2S, SPI, USB) appreciated
- Experience with NAD network simulator
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of time depending on project needs
Tasks
- Execute and analyze EMC tests on telematic systems
- Prepare test setups and configure measurement equipment
- Perform tests according to automotive standards
- Document and interpret test results
- Optimize designs and test methods for EMC compliance
- Apply expertise in EMC principles and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with development and quality teams
- Analyze normative requirements and OEM-specific standards
- Derive test cases from system, hardware, or software requirements
- Define EMC concept and support schematic and PCB design
- Utilize EMC simulation tools for data-driven design optimization
- Create test strategies, plans, and verification concepts
- Set up and configure the test environment
- Perform manual and automated tests
- Operate test benches and laboratory equipment
- Conduct measurements and functional verification
- Evaluate and interpret measurement results
- Identify malfunctions, deviations, and potential risks
- Support root-cause analysis activities
- Support design verification measurements
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Create test reports, logs, and deviation reports
- Manage test data and ensure traceability
- Present test results in development meetings
- Continuously improve test processes and methodologies
- Participate in FMEAs, reviews, and release discussions
