Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Microwave, Telecommunications, Electronics or related Engineering
  • Profound knowledge of ground segment engineering
  • Strong knowledge of communication engineering
  • Strong experience in software based systems, networks, IT infrastructure
  • Experience in Ground Station engineering
  • Experience in design, development, integration, verification, operations of Ground Systems
  • Business fluency in English and German
  • Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity

Tasks

  • Work on concept, design, and development of Ground Segment extensions
  • Support modifications for SATCOMBw and EDRS Ground Segments
  • Handle technical procurement for new and existing customers
  • Follow development and acceptance phases from RFP to final acceptance
  • Implement ground segment items into the Ground Segment until operational
  • Serve as technical point-of-contact for operational anomalies
  • Support technical resolution of issues during operations
  • Conduct requirements engineering with DOORS for ground segment
  • Lead conceptual design activities for ground systems engineering
  • Establish requirements for ground stations, mission operation centers, and more
  • Elaborate system trade-offs and support overall system architecture
  • Develop verification and validation concepts for ground systems
  • Support relevant tests and prepare operational requirements
  • Provide technical support for project planning, contractual changes, and risk management
