Requirements
- Completed Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental, governance, political or social sciences, or comparable field
- Research experience in biodiversity, environmental pollution, or resilient ecosystems
- Experience in stakeholder-specific synthesis and integration of scientific knowledge for actionable options or transformation pathways
- Experience in publishing high-level synthesis publications or white papers
- Structured, independent working style, strong planning and organisational skills
- Good proficiency in German and English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary research
Tasks
- Support and manage the first grant cohort
- Plan and implement cross-disciplinary seminars and workshops
- Prepare the second call for proposals
- Organize the subsequent selection process
- Identify suitable topics for future grants
- Identify interested teams at the UFZ
- Support teams in finding partners for grants
- Advise applicants on partner identification and outreach
- Organize the evaluation of the second cohort
- Research and approach potential reviewers
- Position and promote synthesis grants at the UFZ
