Global Category Lead, Capital Equipment(m/w/x)
Strategic sourcing of global capital equipment and infrastructure for kidney disease treatment products. Minimum 8 years Global Category Management experience, with machine and process validation knowledge, required. Global strategic sourcing focus, with international travel expected.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable education
- Minimum 8 years Global Category Management experience
- Good knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Deep understanding of machine and process validation
- Understanding of component impact on downstream processes
- Ability to understand 3rd party technical documentation
- Ability to read machine documentations (3D, 2D, BOM)
- Knowledge of products, materials, and applications
- Knowledge of global markets and Best Cost Sourcing
- Fluent English and German as a bonus
- Very good IT skills (SAP, MS Office, SRM, CAD)
Tasks
- Oversee global expenditure for machinery, equipment, and infrastructure
- Lead strategic and tactical category activities across regions
- Optimize spending through global low-cost country sourcing
- Negotiate and manage contracts aligned with business targets
- Develop and implement comprehensive global category strategies
- Coordinate with local procurement teams to align resources
- Monitor market conditions to protect the company's interests
- Align category strategies with key stakeholder input
- Drive supplier selection and development with cross-functional teams
- Involve key suppliers in the company's innovation processes
- Initiate and execute commodity cost reduction actions
- Manage tactical procurement processes including RfQs and negotiations
- Evaluate supplier performance to optimize the global portfolio
- Consolidate internal demand across various regions and plants
- Utilize eProcurement tools like SRM to increase efficiency
