As a Freelance Lecturer at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation, you will engage in teaching, mentoring, and supervising students across various academic modules. This role involves creating learning materials, guiding projects, and providing feedback to ensure students meet their learning outcomes.

Requirements

• •PhD or equivalent qualification
• •Strong knowledge of practical tools and techniques
• •Very good knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office suite
• •Fluency in spoken and written English (C2 level)
• •Very good organisational and communication skills
• •High social competence and assertiveness
• •Ability to maintain overview with high workloads
• •Resilience and flexibility
• •Scientific publications in a related discipline
• •Prior teaching experience in higher education
• •Professional experience in field of expertise
• •Knowledge of Educational Platforms (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard)
• •Sound knowledge of study regulations and rules

Tasks

• •Teach assigned academic modules according to the curriculum
• •Amend or design new curriculum for courses or modules
• •Create learning materials, including presentations and supporting resources
• •Provide consultation and mentoring to students
• •Guide students in developing relevant skills for the course objectives
• •Prepare students for summative assessments with guidance and formative assessments
• •Communicate effectively with students and provide regular feedback
• •Promote the school through academic activities and thought leadership
• •Monitor student performance in various academic environments
• •Supervise dissertations, projects, and internships according to standards
• •Participate in school activities as assigned by the Dean or Chief Academic Officer
• •Conduct teaching sessions
• •Guide students to achieve desired learning outcomes
• •Supervise dissertation work
• •Guide project and internship activities
• •Prepare assignments and task descriptions for assessment
• •Perform examination and evaluation-related tasks
• •Provide regular feedback to students
• •Create additional learning materials as needed
• •Complete any other academic tasks as assigned
